More than one MaintScape window of any type can be open at a time. For example, you can work on two separate work orders at once in separate work order windows. This means you do NOT have to stop work on one work order when an emergency requires you work on another.

You can also identify usage of this equipment in meter units. For example, a sand blaster was used for 1 hour. Such usage can contribute to the work order cost.

The MaintScape work order is easy to create and work with. Even so, its structure can be as sophisticated as you like or need. For example, a work order can have one or more tasks, each with one or more craftsmen and each with its own set of parts.

You can view different aspects of a work order by clicking the tabs at the top of the screen. The sample screen print displays tab page "Main" which contains the most important summary information, including:

  • Work order number.
  • Work order status and status date. MaintScape work orders change status as they move through their life cycle.
  • Type of work order - e.g. preventive maintenance, corrective, etc.
  • Target date (also known as "due date").
  • Priority.
  • Date work planning should begin.
  • What should be maintained. MaintScape work orders maintain either equipment or locations. Location work orders are key to facility maintenance.
  • Location of equipment to maintain.
  • Task summary.
  • Name of the reusable procedure that the work order was created from (if applicable).

Please click the tabs at the top of the sample screen print to see other work order window tab pages. For example, you can click on tab "Main - 2", "Task Description", "Explore", etc.
