The "By Object Type" tab page displays a list of statistics for MaintScape "business objects" that don't have their own dedicated tab page.
For example: equipment, maintenance schedules, parts, etc.
The sample screen print shows statistics for parts.
Like dedicated tab pages such as "work order", this tab page is intended to show you the most important statistics for the selected object type that you want to see at a single glance.
Double-clicking any statistics line will open the appropriate search window to show you all the records making up that statistic.
The first statistic in the sample screen print is the number of parts found by MaintScape "standard parts re-order query".
This is the number of parts that need to be re-ordered.
You need the Parts Inventory Control optional module for the "standard parts re-order query" to work.
If your MaintScape license includes the Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order optional modules, you could use MaintScape functionality to requisition or order the identified parts.
To complete the loop: If you used MaintScape functionality to requisition or order parts, the parts re-order query will take into account requisitioned/ordered quantities when deciding which parts need to be re-ordered.
