Service Requests
Service Requests are requests for maintenance from anyone in your organization to the maintenance department.
The maintenance department reviews the service requests, and can take any of the following actions:
- Create a work order to fulfill the service request.
- Link the service request to a work order that was already created.
- Mark the service request as a duplicate
- Reject the service request.
Service requests can be created directly within MaintScape.
However you may want to restrict use of MaintScape to only the maintenance department.
Therefore the following options are available to anyone within your organization:
Use a web browser to create MaintScape service requests and inquire on their status.
This capability requires you to deploy our MaintScapeWeb web application on your intranet.
Create MaintScape service requests by sending an email message to a special email address.
You can also send an email to inquire on your service requests.
Service request status is then returned to you by email as well.
