MaintScape Professional Version
Networked installations of MaintScape are always the professional version. The professional version is optional for stand-alone (single computer) MaintScape licenses.
The professional version adds the following capabilities to MaintScape:
Attachments
Attachments are external documents that can be linked to, for example, equipment, parts, and procedures.
These attachments can be any type of computer document, such as a spreadsheet, diagram, word processing document, etc.
For example:
- You can link an AutoCAD schematic to an equipment.
-
You can write a complex PM checklist into an Excel spreadsheet.
If you link the spreadsheet to a PM procedure, the attachment can be viewed from any work order that uses the procedure.
You can also configure MaintScape to automatically print the spreadsheet with the work order.
If you link an attachment with, for example, an equipment, the attachment is easily viewed whenever the equipment appears on MaintScape screens.
Email
The MaintScape email module lets you send email messages right within MaintScape.
Email messages sent within MaintScape include an attachment representing a MaintScape object such as a work order.
When a recipient receives the email, they can double-click the attachment to show them the work order.
Email messages sent within MaintScape can be kept in the database as part of the permanent record of, for example, an equipment.
MaintScape emails can be sent manually, or as part of the following processes:
- When changing a work order's status. For example, you can email the craftsman when opening his work order.
- When a work order reaches its planning date or due date.
User Fields
User fields hold data not accommodated by standard MaintScape fields.
You can add user fields to many MaintScape objects including: equipment, parts, work orders, staff, etc.
