Tasks can be done in different sequences and concurrently with each other. For example, you do not have to stop working on one work order when you must divert to another work order or service request.

The MaintScape part record completely describes a part. Parts play the following roles in MaintScape:

  • Parts may be assigned to work orders, indicating the part is needed for a particular job.
  • Parts may be assigned to procedures, indicating the part is needed for any work order created from the procedure (e.g. created by a maintenance schedule).
  • An equipment Bill of Material is made up of parts. It is easy to assign a part to a work order from an equipment's bill of material.
  • MaintScape can track inventory levels of parts (requires the Parts Inventory Control optional module).
  • MaintScape can requisition or order parts (requires the Purchasing optional module).

The sample screen print displays tab page "Main" which contains the most important summary information. MaintScape maintains a part's average price through its parts receiving function, however you can manually adjust the value any time you like.

Please click the tabs at the top of the sample screen print to see other part window tab pages. For example, you can click on tab "Inventory", "Vendors", etc.
