The MaintScape equipment record completely describes an asset.
An equipment record is required to write work orders for the equipment, and to set up maintenance schedules.
You can view different aspects of an equipment record by clicking the tabs at the top of the screen.
The sample screen print displays tab page "Main" which contains the most important summary information, including:
- Equipment code or ID.
- Equipment status.
- Equipment description.
-
Class and type of equipment.
Class is a broad classification (e.g. "conveyor"), and type is often a make-and-model.
-
Default location of the equipment (the equipment may be mobile).
Locations are hierarchical, and can be of arbitrary depth.
The location description in the sample screen print is an abbreviation of: Division 2, Building 2, Floor 1.
-
Parent equipment: MaintScape equipment records can be organized into hierarchies of arbitrary depth.
Parent/Child relationships between equipment are more conveniently viewed in MaintScape Explorer.
Please click the tabs at the top of the sample screen print to see other equipment window tab pages.
For example, you can click on tab "Main - 2", "Maintenance", "Cost + Depr", etc.
